Brighton Swishing Event – Weds 13th

The Art of Swishing involves getting your friends together to swap gorgeous clothes and party at the same time.  Every lady must bring at least two good quality, clean items of clothing, or an accessory, that she’d feel proud to hand on.  We are running our very own swishing event on the 13th October at 6.30pm till 9.00pm at Brighton Media Centre, Gallery Space, 15-17 Middle Street, Brighton. Tel: 01273 201100.
Drinks will be available and we will be making £1 donation to running the gallery space.

How to Swish:-

Please bring along two items of quality clothing or accessories that you can swap for another two itemsof your choice. Swishing has become a global phenomenon largely in response to the waste being generated by disposable fashion and the harm it has on our environment.

The clothes can be new or vintage and need to be clean and presentable clothes that other girls will fall in love with.

We will display your items while you have a drink while Tom Chute tells us all about the Brighton and Hove 10:10 Campaign. We will also have a short talk about sustainable fashion by Madeleine King whose resume will follow.

Stylists will help you choose two items to take home with you. Remember this is all a bit of fun so no fighting!

Any items remaining at the end of the evening will be donated to Oxfam.
